The Great Commission, given by Christ in Matthew 28:18-20, is a command that requires the response of all followers to provide support in reaching the world for the sake and cause of Jesus Christ. The command is explicit, not optional, and made with the authority of God. We are commanded to “go” “make disciples,” “baptize,” and “teach” and we are to do this in “all” Nations. The Great Commission involves the planting of a living church movement in every people group and the preaching of the Good News to every person (Mark 16:15). Lighthouse Christian Fellowship takes this command seriously as can be seen by the many missionaries and projects we support. It is our goal to continue to expand our support and prayers in an ever increasing intensity to “work while it is day,” knowing that it is not God’s Will that any “should perish,” but that all would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
